We are Mat and Anna Richter, owners and operators of Tend Irrigation. We began our Waco based irrigation company in 2023 under the name, “Heart of Texas Irrigation Systems” which was the company Mat’s dad, Russell, started in 1994. With a legacy of excellence and service to Waco, we are excited to continue the journey as a family. We changed the name to Tend Irrigation because we saw a real gap in the local market — most irrigation companies are focused on new installs, which means repairs get treated like an afterthought. Homeowners were waiting too long, paying too much, and their system repairs were getting brushed to the side.

We built Tend around the opposite idea. Focusing on repairs allows us to “tend” to our customers on a more personal level. We get to focus on what serves your specific needs, and we honor the opportunity to help your system grow alongside your dreams and landscape ideas.
